Redwood Tree


Sequoia sempervirens is known as the redwood tree. This species is one of the tallest trees in the world. It can grow up to 379 feet (115.52 m) with the diameter up to 26 feet (7.9 m). Before logging and clearing in 1850s his massive tree occurred naturally in an estimated 2,100,000 acres (8,500 square kilometer). Today redwood tree is in Redwood National Park. The current tallest tree is Hyperion, measuring at 115.61 m in Redwood National Park.
